The Renaissance of the Human Body and Mind

by January 9, 2023

You have no doubt heard of the Renaissance, which was a period of cultural, artistic, political, and economic “rebirth” after the Middle Ages. The Renaissance period was characterised by efforts to rejuvenate and exceed the ideas and achievements of classical antiquity, which came before it. This is also an idea that we can apply to the human body and mind — and doing so is in fact the trophy of all trophies. So, let us see how we can apply the idea of the renaissance to the human body.

The before and the after

You must understand that with any renaissance, there is a before and an after. For a true rebirth to occur, the habits and behaviours of the before must be abandoned. In the literal Renaissance, this meant a change in areas of life such as culture, art, politics, and economics. For the human being, we can apply these ideas as engaging in cultural experiences and creative exploits and developing an enhanced political and economic understanding (based on the true nature of reality, not the version we are presented by the media).

Personally, I experienced the renaissance of my body and mind at the age of 45, which should demonstrate to you that it is never too late to begin. From that age onwards, my life, perspectives, habits, and behaviours all changed. What is more, they continue to change and evolve, which is a true renaissance. A renaissance has a before and an after, but this does not mean it is static.

Understand that for me, there was a before and an after. Before, I was a loser, an unevolved being. Afterwards, I became a winner, someone who is forever evolving. Before, I was an idiot like you; after, I never quit the fight to evolve and expand my consciousness. Before, I invested in man; after, I have a disdain for mankind. Before, I had the motivation to gain material goods; after, I have the motivation to abandon all material goods and practice my new, evolved behaviours and habits, one of which I will offer as an example.

The silent walk

One of the new habits of my renaissance era is to walk a few times every week around the Molos seafront in my hometown of Limassol, Cyprus. It’s an exciting place to walk, next to the sea. Molos is the everywhere of being. Magic, miraculous, and majestic. Indeed, it is one of the most magnetic points on Earth. Please don’t die before you get to walk here.

Around me, I see thousands of people walking, and they come from all over the world. Think of any country, big or small, and there will be people from that country walking next to me at some point. I hear visitors, tourists, and those who live and work here speaking to their spouse or their friends in their own language, though English is also spoken within groups who speak different languages.

As for me, I am always silent. While walking, I study the faces and behaviours or my fellow walkers. I enjoy considering strange, new ideas. For example, I may ask myself “Are these people really living, or they are just shadows of the dead? Who will still be here after 10 years? And if there is anyone, what will they look like?”

Embrace rebirth

I am not saying that you must walk on a beach and consider these specific questions, but I am saying that you must embrace a rebirth in your attitude, habits, and motivations. You must abandon your before and embrace your after as a rebirth of your body and mind. Practice creativity, expand your consciousness, explore the true nature of the world, and abandon your materialistic nature. In this way, you will move towards evolution and your own personal renaissance.
