Let me tell you a story about reading.
When I published my first book — the legendary The Temple of Consciousness — I placed myself in
the global arena of Amazon. I can now say with confidence that with Amazon, the world is a better
place. Without Amazon, I wouldn’t be here fighting like an angry lion against the mainstream trash
of bestselling publishing factories.
Does it surprise you that I call it mainstream trash?
“What about New York Times bestsellers?” I hear you say, “What about Booker Prize winners?”
In response to that, I say “have you actually read the material that publishers choose to feed
readers, the products of these factories?”
It is mass-produced rubbish from so-called “best-selling” authors, and it is only “best-selling”
because the masses continue to consume it. Since when did mass consumption ever dictate quality?
Just look at McDonalds if you want an example of that false dichotomy.
So, will you continue to read what other people decide and argue is “worth reading”?
Will you continue to read what the big book factories produce for you, feeding you like farmed fish?
Do you realise that they only publish authors whose books fall in line with the mainstream
interpretations and beliefs of society?
Indeed, publishing is just one example of the way that humans are directed like cattle to have
certain beliefs and hemmed in like sheep to not fight back.
After the hard lesson that publishers decide what you — the reader — must read, I told myself that I
am not a farmed fish to be fed with what the farmer decides. On the contrary, I am a fisherman of
people, not of fish, and not a fish.
So, I decided to publish a book that only a very brave publisher would even consider publishing and
the result is both my previous book The Temple of Consciousness and my new book The Animal
Verse. I am proud of these books. I am the only one who dares to write such extraordinary books.
One of the main aims of these books is to strip you of your previously held beliefs, to exempt you
from the useless decoration in which you swim like a harmless fish. I am here to remind you what
your nature is and who the hell you are after all.
You may ask me, who the hell are you?
I would say “does it matter? Do you know these so-called experts whose bestselling books you
read?” I abolish the so-called specialists. I abolish specialisation. I am fed up of all kinds of specialists,
or as Robert Heinlein says, “[s]pecialization is for insects”.
Understand this, dear reader, what I do is for my own profit. Everything, including my books, is for
the purpose of my own evolution. What I write is my own spiritual property and when I share it with
you, my profit multiplies because there is at least one person out there who will benefit from my
spiritual treasure. If there is more than one, then my personal profit will be greater.
As will yours, dear reader. As will yours.
What you should be focused on is your own evolution, and you will not achieve this by continuing to
live as a farmed fish consuming bestselling trash books.
The world of Amazon has a million books by unknown authors. Authors who go against the
mainstream. Authors who will never be published by publisher factories because they are too wild,
too untamed. Authors who refuse to write trash to be consumed by farmed fish. Authors who have
something shocking to say.
So, open your eyes, and open your mind, and open a different book.
